How long do seahorses live?
We don't really know how long most seahorses live. We know that some of the Indo-Pacific seahorses live to be five years old. We know that some smaller species, like the dwarf seahorse, live only one to two years. These small seahorses mature to adulthood within three months after birth, while the longer-lived animals will take six months to one year to reach adulthood.
